Public Angling Permits and Fishing Rod Licence Northern Ireland

You need a Fishing Rod License and permission to fish via an area Angling Permit when fishing in freshwater in Northern Ireland.

This isn't required for sea fishing with rod and line in N.I when not targeting salmon or sea trout!

As per the NI fisheries map above, this can be provided by two fisheries depending on the area you want to fish:

• The Loughs Agency

• The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA)

Click The DAERA &/or Loughs Agency logos below to independently gain your angling number, rod licence and permits or we can help set you up with everything thing you need to fish legal by emailing: info@northatlanticfishing.com

This is a digital number and not a physical card so you should have it instantly in the email inbox you provide.

Print a paper copy or jot these numbers down for safe keeping, primarily for when you need to produce it if asked while Angling so best always having it handy along with some proof of id!

You need an email address and way of online payment when booking.

If you're claming the reduced / concessionary (disability, pensioner, war veterans etc)  rate you will need your National Insurance Number.

Juvenile rates not too be missed.
